TLDR FUE is an effective method for restoring hair and improving quality of life after burns.
Follicular unit extraction (FUE) is highlighted as a versatile and effective surgical option for hair reconstruction in cases of post-combustion alopecia, particularly when other techniques like skin expansions and grafts fall short. This case report details a patient with severe post-burn alopecia and facial distortion who experienced significant improvements in psychiatric health and social reintegration following three FUE sessions for scalp and eyebrow hair restoration. FUE not only restored a natural appearance but also enhanced the patient's overall quality of life.
