TLDR FUE effectively corrects poorly designed hairlines in men with androgenetic alopecia.
This study focuses on using follicular unit excision (FUE) to repair unsatisfactory hairline designs in men with androgenetic alopecia. Conducted as a retrospective, multicenter observational study, it included 20 men with a median age of 37.5 years. The study found that FUE is a valuable technique for correcting poorly designed or excessively low hairlines, with 95% of patients expressing satisfaction or high satisfaction. Approximately 80% of patients showed no visible scarring or pigmentary alteration within 6–12 months, and only 28% required a second corrective procedure. The results demonstrate that most cases can be successfully corrected with a single intervention, emphasizing the importance of meticulous technical execution.
