TLDR GHK-Cu liposome promotes hair growth in mice with alopecia.
The study aimed to prepare GHK-Cu liposome and evaluate its effects on hair growth using a mouse alopecia model. Researchers used the reverse evaporation method to create the liposome and applied it to KM mice with induced alopecia. The mice were divided into three groups, receiving either GHK-Cu, GHK-Cu liposome, or distilled water. Results showed that both GHK-Cu and its liposome form promoted hair growth, with a significant increase in hair follicles compared to the control group. Additionally, VEGF expression was higher in the treated groups, suggesting that GHK-Cu liposome effectively encapsulated GHK-Cu and maintained its hair growth-promoting function.
