TLDR A 16-year-old girl with gum overgrowth and excessive hair growth had successful gum surgery and healed well.
This case report discusses a 16-year-old girl with severe generalised gingival fibromatosis and hypertrichosis. Gingival fibromatosis is a benign condition involving the enlargement of gingival tissues, potentially with a genetic basis and associated with systemic findings. Hypertrichosis involves excessive hair growth without androgenic stimulation. The patient underwent gingivectomy, and the postoperative healing was uneventful over an eight-month follow-up period.
