Effect of Ginkgo Mixture on Hair Growth Promotion in C57BL/6 Mice

The study investigated the effects of a Ginkgo mixture on hair growth in C57BL/6 mice. Mice were divided into groups receiving different doses of the Ginkgo mixture or a control treatment. After 14 days of treatment and subsequent depilation, the Ginkgo mixture significantly increased the rate of new hair growth, hair weight, and vascular endothelial growth factor content compared to the control group. These findings suggested that the Ginkgo mixture promoted hair growth, potentially through the mechanism of increasing vascular endothelial growth factor concentrations.
