TLDR Guava leaves have beneficial compounds useful for health and beauty products.
Guava leaves are rich in bioactive compounds like flavonoids, phenolic acids, and essential oils, which contribute to their antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, anticancer, and hair growth–promoting effects. This review highlights the phytochemical variability and pharmacological properties of guava leaves, emphasizing the use of advanced analytical tools for precise identification and standardization of these compounds. Modern extraction methods enhance the effectiveness of obtaining these bioactives, making guava leaves a promising source for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and cosmeceutical applications.
