Hair Growth Activity of Seeds and Fruit Pulp of Eugenia Jambolana (Jamun)

In 2015, a study by Neetu Gautam, Sakshi Sehgal, Vineet Gupta, and Rajiv Gupta investigated the potential of Eugenia jambolana, or Jamun, seeds and pulp extracts as hair growth promoters. The extracts were applied to the shaved skin of albino mice, and hair growth was evaluated based on initiation time, completion time, length, and count. The results indicated that the fruit pulp extract had a more significant effect on hair growth than the seed extract, demonstrating that Eugenia jambolana fruit pulp extract has significant potential for promoting hair growth.
