TLDR The 1:5 ratio of fragrant pandan to celery extract best promotes hair growth.
The study investigated the hair growth activity of a combination of ethanol extracts from fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) and celery leaves (Apium graveolens L.) on guinea pigs. Various formulations were tested, with the extract ratios ranging from 1:5 to 5:1. The results indicated that all formulations enhanced hair length growth, with the 1:5 ratio of fragrant pandan to celery extract showing the most significant activity. The hair tonic was found to be physically stable, with a blackish-green color, viscosity between 348.03 and 468.26 cPs, and a pH range of 4.5 to 5.7.
