TLDR Hair transplants can temporarily help with eyebrow hair loss.
The study described an experimental hair transplant procedure for a patient with chronic eyebrow alopecia areata that did not respond well to traditional medical treatments like intralesional triamcinolone. The procedure involved transplanting 85 mini and micrografts into the right eyebrow under tumescent anesthesia. The patient experienced 8 months without eyebrow alopecia areata post-transplant. Although the condition eventually relapsed, it became manageable with intralesional cortisone injections administered six times per year. The patient was satisfied with the outcome, as it provided a significant period of relief and improved management of the condition.
