    TLDR Early diagnosis and personalized treatment of Hashimoto thyroiditis can improve growth and development in children.
    This case report discusses an 11-year-old girl diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis, presenting with short stature, pubertal disturbances, and significant hair loss (telogen effluvium) after starting levothyroxine therapy. The diagnosis was confirmed by low FT3 levels and elevated thyroid antibodies. The patient also exhibited mild anemia and acanthosis nigricans. Management included optimizing levothyroxine dosage, nutritional supplementation, and regular endocrine follow-up. The report emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and personalized treatment to improve growth, pubertal development, and overall outcomes in pediatric patients with Hashimoto thyroiditis.
