The Relationship Between the Use of Headscarves and Hair Loss Prevalence in Medical Students

    A study involving 62 medical students from the University of Muhammadiyah North Sumatra investigated the relationship between headscarf use and hair loss. The analysis showed no significant association between wearing headscarves and experiencing hair loss, with a p-value of 0.740. Among proper headscarf users, 49.9% experienced hair loss, while 51% did not. In the improper headscarf user group, 54.5% experienced hair loss, and 45.5% did not. Overall, the study concluded that headscarf use does not significantly impact hair loss prevalence.
