TLDR The herbal shampoo with fenugreek and hibiscus is a safe and effective alternative to synthetic shampoos.
The study developed and evaluated a herbal anti-dandruff shampoo containing Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugreek) and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis (Hibiscus), highlighting its benefits over synthetic shampoos due to safety, biodegradability, and fewer side effects. The formulation included herbal extracts and other ingredients like sodium lauryl sulphate and glycerin. Various formulations were tested for physicochemical properties, including pH, foam stability, and skin irritation. The results indicated that the herbal shampoo had good cleansing action, stable foam, satisfactory pH, and caused no skin irritation, suggesting it as an effective alternative to synthetic options.
