TLDR Herbal hair gummies with ingredients like fenugreek and biotin may help hair growth and are safe and stable.
The study developed herbal hair gummies as an alternative to traditional hair care products, incorporating ingredients like fenugreek, amla, and bhringraj, along with nutrients such as folic acid, zinc, and biotin. These gummies were evaluated for their physical properties, stability, and sensory qualities, and demonstrated antioxidant activity to counteract oxidative stress, a key factor in hair loss. Among the four formulations tested, Formulation 3 showed the most promise with a 32% increase in follicle cell proliferation, while Formulation 2 had strong antioxidant capacity and fast dissolution. All formulations met safety standards and remained stable over a year. The study suggests these gummies could be a competitive addition to the nutraceutical market, though further clinical trials are needed to confirm their efficacy.
