Formulation and Evaluation of Herbal Hair Lotion Using Different Plant Extracts

The study developed and evaluated a herbal hair lotion using natural ingredients like rosemary extract, curry leaves extract, fenugreek seed extract, clove oil, coconut oil, rose water, and vitamin E, known for their benefits in hair growth and scalp health. Three formulations (F1, F2, and F3) were tested for physicochemical and performance parameters such as appearance, pH, spreadability, washability, absorbency, smoothness, skin irritation, and stability. All formulations had a pH within the acceptable range (5.2–5.7), suitable for scalp conditions. Formulation F3 demonstrated superior spreadability, absorbency, washability, and stability without causing skin irritation, maintaining its properties over time.
