TLDR The herbal hair serum with hibiscus and amla effectively improves hair health and reduces dandruff.
The study focused on creating and evaluating a polyherbal hair serum using extracts from Hibiscus rosa-sinensis and Phyllanthus emblica (amla) to address hair and scalp issues. The serum, formulated with xanthan gum, propylene glycol, glycerin, and other ingredients, was tested for various properties and showed satisfactory results, including a suitable pH for scalp application, good viscosity, and excellent spreadability. It demonstrated significant antifungal activity against Candida albicans with an 11.5 mm zone of inhibition. The serum remained stable throughout the study, suggesting it could be an effective natural option for enhancing hair health, reducing dandruff, and nourishing the scalp.
