A Randomized Double-Blind Controlled Evaluation of the Therapeutic Benefits of an Herbal Lip Hydrant

This study evaluated a novel lip hydrant formulated with polyherbal extracts for managing dry and chapped lips. In a randomized, double-blind, controlled clinical trial involving 66 Thai participants, the lip hydrant was compared to a petroleum gel over 28 days. Results showed that both groups experienced significant reductions in lip roughness, but the herbal lip hydrant group had a greater reduction in chapped lips. Both groups reported significant improvements in perceived lip dryness. The findings suggest that the polyherbal lip hydrant effectively improves lip hydration and alleviates chapped lips.
