Herbal Mehendi Gel Formulation for Sustainable Hair Coloring and Scalp Care

The study focused on creating and evaluating a herbal mehendi gel for sustainable hair coloring and scalp care, using natural ingredients like henna, amla, bhringraj, aloe vera, and neem. The gel was formulated with a base of Carbopol 940, glycerine, and other compounds, aiming to provide natural hair coloring and scalp nourishment. The formulation was tested for various parameters, showing good consistency, texture, spreadability, and washability, with a suitable pH for scalp application. No skin irritation was observed, indicating safety. The herbal ingredients offered benefits such as natural coloring, scalp conditioning, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, and hair strengthening.
