Formulation And Evaluation Of Herbal Shampoo

The study developed a herbal shampoo using plant ingredients like Sapindus mukorossi, Acacia concinna, curry leaves, Ficus religiosa, aloe vera, and flax seeds, chosen for their beneficial phytochemical profiles and hair care properties. The formulation was evaluated for organoleptic characteristics, pH balance, foaming capacity, cleaning effectiveness, and conditioning effects. It demonstrated stable viscosity, mildly acidic pH, pleasant aroma, effective lathering, and improved hair softness and manageability, without synthetic surfactants and preservatives. This highlights the product's safety, sustainability, and alignment with consumer preferences for natural cosmetics, offering an effective alternative to conventional shampoos.
