TLDR Homoeopathy may help treat PCOS, but more research is needed.
The review explored the potential of homoeopathy as an alternative treatment for polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), a complex hormonal disorder affecting 6%-26% of women globally. A systematic literature search identified 28 relevant articles, with 22 studies included in the review, comprising 1 randomized controlled trial (RCT), 2 non-randomized controlled trials (NRCT), 6 observational studies, 4 case series, and 9 case reports. All studies were published in peer-reviewed journals. The review concluded that while homoeopathy showed promise, more pragmatic studies with proper diagnostic criteria were needed to establish its evidence-based efficacy in treating PCOS.
