Marie-France Collin, a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist, treated alopecia in her clinic by integrating Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) with holistic approaches. She described a case of a 21-year-old student with partial hair loss linked to stress and polycystic ovarian syndrome. Collin referred the patient for a computerized biofeedback food and allergy test, which led to dietary changes eliminating "toxic" foods. She also recommended lifestyle adjustments and performed acupuncture to improve blood flow to the scalp. Additionally, she prescribed a herbal decoction for external application. The patient showed approximately 70% improvement in hair growth after following the treatment plan, with noticeable results by the 7th weekly session.
