This study involved 587 women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and examined the health-related quality of life (HRQOL) and mental state of those with migration or minority backgrounds compared to those without. The results showed that women with these backgrounds experienced lower HRQOL, higher levels of anxiety and depression, and lower self-esteem. The study highlights the significant impact of socio-cultural factors on the mental and physical well-being of women with PCOS and emphasizes the need for healthcare professionals to address the diverse needs of these women to ensure equitable access to care.
