This study developed a prognostic model for lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) based on 16 genes related to hypoxia and mitochondrial function, identified through bioinformatics analysis. The model, validated with independent datasets, shows good predictive accuracy for LUAD prognosis. It also suggests that higher risk scores are associated with certain immune cells and improved chemotherapy efficacy. A nomogram was created to aid clinical decision-making and treatment selection, potentially enhancing treatment outcomes for LUAD patients.
