Correlation of Immunological Variables of Interleukin-17 and Heat Shock Protein-70 in Ethnic Women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

This study investigated the therapeutic effects on immunological and clinical variables in 35 ethnic women with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) in Kirkuk, Iraq. Over a period from February to November 2023, patients underwent treatment involving dietary changes, oral contraceptives, fertility drugs, sugar-reducing medications like Metformin, and nutritional supplements. After three months, significant improvements were observed in clinical signs such as ovulation and menstrual disorders, obesity, hirsutism, and acne. Additionally, there was a notable decrease in body mass index (BMI) and immune factors, specifically Heat Shock Protein 70 and Interleukin-17, with a significant positive correlation between these two immunological variables.
