The study evaluated immune status changes in 31 patients with alopecia areata undergoing combined therapy, compared to 30 healthy controls. Initially, patients exhibited elevated proinflammatory cytokines and reduced cellular immunity. Post-treatment, there was a significant decrease in proinflammatory cytokines, circulating immune complexes, and an increase in IL-10 levels and phagocytic activity, indicating that combined therapy effectively reduces inflammation and restores immune balance.
