TLDR Natural compounds from Ayurvedic herbs may effectively treat dandruff and promote hair growth.
This study explores the potential of Ayurvedic herbs in treating dandruff and promoting hair growth using phytochemical analysis and molecular docking techniques. It identifies key bioactive compounds such as alpha-tocopherol, linolenic acid, and quercetin from herbs like Amla, Bhringraj, and Neem. These compounds were tested against protein targets linked to hair growth and antifungal action, showing significant binding affinities. The results suggest that these natural substances could be effective plant-based alternatives for dandruff and hair loss treatments, combining modern computational biology with traditional Ayurvedic knowledge.
