TLDR TrichoTech™ may help hair growth and skin repair by increasing fibroblast growth and activity.
In 2017, a study was conducted on the effects of TrichoTech™, a phytocomplex derived from essential oils, on human fibroblasts, which are cells involved in hair growth regulation. The study found that TrichoTech™ stimulated fibroblast proliferation in a dose-dependent manner, and increased the expression of fibroblast growth factor-7 (FGF-7) and fibroblast growth factor-10 (FGF-10) genes, which can promote cell cycle and proliferation and potentially rescue hair loss. The compound also demonstrated wound healing activity, suggesting potential benefits for skin repair. These findings suggested that TrichoTech™ may have potential applications in promoting hair growth and skin repair, and could contribute to the development of new bioactive phytocomplexes for dermatological and trichological use.
