The study investigated the antioxidant and anti-aging properties of Dendrobium sabin flower, focusing on its potential to combat photo-induced skin aging caused by UV radiation. The 100% methanolic crude extract of the flower exhibited the highest total phenolic content and strongest antioxidant properties, as demonstrated by DPPH, ABTS, and FRAP assays. Microbial fermentation further enhanced the phenolic content and antioxidant activity. The extract showed low toxicity in brine shrimp and human dermal fibroblast cells and improved skin thickness when applied topically. These findings suggested that Dendrobium sabin flower could be effective in addressing photo-induced aging issues.
