This randomized controlled trial investigated the effectiveness of combining oral Biotin with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) versus PRP alone in treating Androgenetic Alopecia (AGA) in 180 patients. Group A received PRP alone, while Group B received PRP with 2500 mcg of oral Biotin daily for 6 months. Both groups showed significant hair regrowth after 6 months, assessed using the Dermatology Quality of Life Index and digital photography. However, there was no significant difference in hair regrowth between the two groups (p-value > 0.05). The study concluded that adding Biotin to PRP does not provide additional benefits for AGA patients.
