Eli Lilly's drug baricitinib showed effectiveness in treating alopeciaareata, with higher doses resulting in significant hairregrowth compared to placebo. The treatment is not for male pattern baldness.
The user is using minoxidil, finasteride, dermarolling, and other treatments for hairregrowth, showing promising results in the temple area. Despite some skepticism, there is optimism about potential improvement.
Tazarotene shows potential as a standalone treatment for hairregrowth by stimulating new hair follicle formation and promoting angiogenesis, similar to microneedling effects. It can be used topically without minoxidil, but users should start with a low concentration to avoid irritation.
Baricitinib, approved for alopeciaareata, might be considered for treating receding hairlines. The discussion is about the possibility of an over-the-counter topical version for androgenic alopecia.
An arthritis drug, baricitinib, is discussed as a potential treatment for autoimmune alopecia, not androgenetic alopecia. Ritlecitinib is also mentioned as a possible treatment for scarring alopecia.
The user reports positive progress in hairregrowth using 1mg oral finasteride, 3mg oral minoxidil, biotin, vitamin D, red light therapy, and microneedling. They note thickening at the hairline and some regrowth at the temples.
