TLDR Oral ivermectin effectively treated a cat's mite infections, improving its condition.
The study reports on the successful treatment of a 4-year-old domestic cat with scabiosis and otitis externa caused by Notoedres cati and Otodectes cynotis mites, respectively. After 15 days of oral ivermectin therapy, the cat showed significant improvement, including good hair growth, absence of itching, hyperkeratosis, scars, erythema, and reduced crusts, with clean ears. The study emphasizes the importance of preventing reinfection by keeping cats indoors, providing nutritious food, maintaining environmental cleanliness, and ensuring the cat's hygiene.
