Top DEI Topics to Incorporate Into Dermatology Residency Training: An Electronic Delphi Consensus Study

This study highlights the need for improved diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training in dermatology residency programs to enhance clinical care for diverse populations and foster cultural humility among trainees. An electronic Delphi consensus method was used to identify key DEI topics for inclusion in residency curricula. An expert panel proposed 61 DEI-related topics, and two rounds of anonymous surveys were conducted with voluntary participants, including residents and academic dermatologists. The study aimed to establish a consensus on the most important DEI topics to be integrated into dermatology education nationwide.
