TLDR Lavender and Tea tree oils may effectively reduce mild unwanted hair growth in women.
The study evaluated the efficacy of Lavender and Tea tree oils in treating mild idiopathic hirsutism in women. It involved 24 participants, divided into two groups: one received an oil spray containing Lavender and Tea tree oils, and the other received a placebo, both applied twice daily for 3 months. Results showed a significant decrease in hirsutism scores and hair diameter in the treatment group, while no significant changes were observed in the placebo group. The study concluded that these oils could be an effective, safe, and economical treatment for mild idiopathic hirsutism.
