TLDR Functional nutrition evaluations can improve personalized wellness programs and help prevent chronic diseases.
The LIFEHOUSE study involved 369 participants and aimed to inform personalized wellness interventions through comprehensive physical exams, anthropometric measurements, and selected biomarkers. It highlighted the interplay of genetic, lifestyle, and environmental factors in health, identifying patterns of nutrient deficiencies and biomarker abnormalities often overlooked in clinical settings. The study found significant associations between body composition metrics like BMI and waist circumference with biomarkers such as HbA1c, hs-CRP, and vitamin D levels. It also noted differences in health metrics based on occupation, sex, and age, with males experiencing more hair loss and hypertension. The findings emphasized the importance of personalized nutrition and lifestyle modifications in preventing non-communicable chronic diseases (NCDs) and suggested that Functional Nutrition Examination (FiNE) could be a valuable tool in healthcare settings.
