This systematic review investigates the impact of thrombophilic conditions on Long COVID (LC) symptoms, revealing that patients with these conditions may experience more severe symptoms due to hypercoagulation. The review analyzed 6 papers, finding that a hypercoagulable blood profile could predict LC following COVID-19, with symptoms like hair loss, arrhythmia, and dizziness occurring more frequently in thrombophilic patients. Although the findings are preliminary, they suggest that further research could improve treatment plans, potentially involving anticoagulants or screening for hypercoagulable profiles post-COVID-19 to better assess patient risk.
