TLDR Black women digital creators use online platforms to empower others to embrace natural hair.
The thesis examined how Black women digital content creators with natural hair used online platforms to educate, encourage, and inspire others within the Contemporary Natural Hair Movement. By analyzing five YouTube videos through a womanist perspective, it was argued that the combination of personal storytelling (testifying) and the intimate setting of the homespace created a transformative healing power. This process empowered Black women across the diaspora to embrace their natural hair.
