TLDR Placenderm® can improve hair health and promote hair regrowth.
The study investigates the effects of low molecular weight porcine placenta peptides (Placenderm®) on hair health, revealing that Placenderm® enhances cell proliferation and modulates gene expression in human dermal papilla cells. In vivo experiments with C57BL/6 mice showed accelerated hair regrowth, extended anagen phase, and improved hair follicle characteristics. These findings suggest that Placenderm® can promote follicular regeneration and may serve as a functional food ingredient for improving hair health.
