    The study investigated m6A methylation in cashmere goats to understand its role in fiber growth. Using MeRIP-seq and RNA-seq, researchers identified 9,085 differentially methylated m6A sites, with 7,170 upregulated and 1,915 downregulated. They compared fine-type and coarse-type Liaoning cashmere goats, finding 1,170 differentially expressed genes. Validation through qRT-PCR focused on 19 genes, and GO enrichment analysis indicated involvement in keratin and intermediate filaments. These results provided a theoretical basis for future research on m6A modification's function in cashmere fiber growth.
