TLDR Balding in men worsens with age.
The study conducted at Saveetha Dental College evaluated the prevalence and progression of male androgenetic alopecia (MAA) in 50 male patients aged 20–70 years using Norwood’s classification. The results showed that balding severity increased with age, establishing a positive correlation between age and MAA severity. However, the study was limited by not considering factors such as family history, hormonal status, medical conditions, medications, and prior radiation therapy. The conclusion suggests that future research should incorporate these variables to improve the clinical understanding of balding patterns.
