Management of Alopecia Areata through Unani Medicine

Sayyed Adnan Mohammad, Saif Ali Siddiqui
The study investigates the management of Alopecia Areata using Unani medicine in a 34-year-old male with nonscarring hair loss. The treatment involved Kera Fall hair oil, wet cupping therapy, and oral Unani medications, resulting in complete hair regrowth after 3 months, as indicated by the patient's SALT II score improving from 32% to 0%. The findings suggest that Unani treatments, especially cupping therapy, may be a cost-effective and less invasive option for AA, though further research is necessary to validate their safety and efficacy.
