Management of folliculitis decalvans with ayurveda- A case report

A 24-year-old male with folliculitis decalvans (FD), characterized by patchy hair loss, itching, and pain, showed complete remission after treatment with Ayurveda medicine and leech therapy. Despite previous unsuccessful treatments, the patient experienced new hair growth and normal distribution, with no symptoms for 33 months post-treatment. The case suggested that Ayurveda, combined with Jalaukavacharana, was highly effective for FD, warranting further studies with larger samples to confirm its efficacy.
