TLDR tSVF is effective for treating inflammation-related conditions, with centrifugation being the best method for isolation.
This scoping review evaluates mechanical fractionation methods for obtaining stromal vascular fraction (tSVF) from adipose tissue, used in regenerative therapies. It includes data from 1,465 patients and 410 animals, finding that tSVF is more effective in treating conditions with high proinflammatory characteristics, such as osteoarthritis and wound healing, than in skin rejuvenation. Centrifugation is identified as the most effective method for tSVF isolation. The review highlights the need for standardized procedures and further research to optimize tSVF isolation techniques, noting the variability in outcomes and the absence of a superior method due to differing study designs and endpoints.
