    The review discussed the metabolic effects of various drugs used to treat polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), a common endocrine disorder in women of reproductive age characterized by menstrual disorders, hyperandrogenism, and specific ultrasonographic features. PCOS negatively impacted carbohydrate metabolism, cardiovascular disease parameters, and lipid profiles. The treatment approach was tailored to the patient's primary complaint, and numerous medications had been employed over the years. The review aimed to assess how these drugs influenced the metabolic risk profile in women with PCOS.
