TLDR Combining metformin with myo-inositol is more effective for treating PCOS than metformin alone.
The study investigated the effects of combining metformin and myo-inositol in 100 women with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), divided into two groups. Group I received both metformin and myo-inositol, while Group II received only metformin. After 3 months, results showed that the combination treatment led to a statistically significant improvement in normal ovarian size and higher pregnancy rates compared to metformin alone. The study concluded that the combination of metformin with myo-inositol was more effective in treating PCOS than metformin alone.
