TLDR Combining microneedling with mesotherapy, especially with hyaluronic acid, finasteride, and latanoprost, effectively improves hair growth in androgenic alopecia.
This retrospective study evaluated the efficacy and safety of four microneedling-based mesotherapy protocols in 63 patients with androgenic alopecia (AGA). The study found that combination therapy, particularly Group IV, which included hyaluronic acid, finasteride, and latanoprost, showed the highest efficacy in improving hair growth across both sexes and hair loss patterns. Women and participants under 30 years old demonstrated higher improvement rates compared to men and older participants. All treatment protocols were well-tolerated with minimal adverse effects, supporting the use of combination mesotherapy for enhanced therapeutic outcomes in AGA management.
