TLDR MpowerTM may improve hair growth and satisfaction more than plain minoxidil, with mild side effects.
This study evaluated the safety and effectiveness of MpowerTM, a topical solution containing 5% minoxidil with procapil, redensyl, caffeine, and transcutol, compared to plain 5% minoxidil in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA). Conducted by Zydus Healthcare Limited in India, the study involved 400 participants aged 18 and above, who applied the treatments for 4 months. The primary outcomes measured were hair diameter, terminal and total hair density, and vellus hair percentage, assessed through trichoscopic analysis. Secondary outcomes included subject satisfaction, tolerability, and compliance. The study concluded that MpowerTM may offer improved hair growth parameters and patient satisfaction compared to plain minoxidil, with mild side effects like scalp dryness or irritation being monitored.
