MODERN TREATMENT APPROACHES FOR ALOPECIA: CURRENT ADVANCES AND FUTURE PERSPECTIVES

This review article discusses the latest therapeutic approaches for managing alopecia, a condition causing hair loss that affects self-esteem and quality of life. It covers various forms of alopecia, including androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata, cicatricial alopecia, and telogen effluvium. The article critically analyzes current treatments such as topical and systemic pharmacotherapy, platelet-rich plasma therapy, low-level laser therapy, stem cell therapy, Janus kinase inhibitors, hair transplantation, and emerging biologic treatments. Emphasizing individualized treatment plans and combination therapies, the article highlights the importance of regenerative approaches to enhance hair regrowth and reduce side effects. Advances in molecular medicine and targeted therapies are seen as promising for more effective and personalized alopecia management.
