TLDR The "Multi-Wave Punch" improves hair transplant results by reducing damage to hair follicles.
The review discusses the advantages of a new "Multi-Wave Punch" for follicular unit excision in hair transplantation. This punch is designed to optimize graft extraction and minimize follicular injury. It consists of a blunt-angled cutting edge, a leading edge with horizontally oriented multi-wave shapes, and a decagonal main body. These features allow the punch to easily penetrate the scalp, transmit wave energy to separate hair follicles from surrounding tissue, and facilitate extraction, resulting in reduced follicular damage and higher quality grafts.
