Mustache Transplant

Mustache transplantation was a relatively uncommon procedure compared to eyebrow transplantation, accounting for only 1% to 1.5% of all hair restoration procedures in 2006. The practice was first reported by Okuda in Japan in 1939. Despite the lower prevalence of mustaches among Orientals compared to Caucasians and Indians, there was a steady demand for facial hair transplants, including mustaches, beards, and goatees.
