    The study introduces a novel hydrogel composed of collagen and tannic acid (TA) for visceral hemostasis, addressing limitations of existing hemostatic methods. By adjusting the proportions of these materials, the hydrogel demonstrated improved mechanical properties, adhesion, and coagulation ability. In rat hepatic and cardiac bleeding models, it reduced blood loss and shortened hemostatic time compared to commercial hydrogels. The non-covalent connection between tannic acid and collagen enhances biodegradability, supporting hemostasis and tissue repair. This hydrogel offers significant advantages for treating acute wounds and controlling major bleeding, with a simple and efficient production method that supports clinical application.
