TLDR Herbal hair oil with certain herbs can improve hair growth.
The study "Assessment of Nutraceutical Potential of Herbs for Promoting Hair Growth: Formulation Considerations of Herbal Hair Oil" created and tested a herbal hair oil made from Murraya koenigii, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn., Nigella sativa, and Trigonella foenum-graecum, combined with 60% Cocos nucifera oil. The oil was tested on two groups of six rats, with the treated group showing significantly longer hair length (8.89 mm) and higher hair weight (219.49 mg) compared to the control group. The oil had good pH, viscosity, and was stable at room temperature. It contained ascorbic acid, sulphur, and saponins, beneficial for hair health, and was non-irritant to rabbit skin. The study concluded that this combination of herbs could improve hair growth.
